Harvest & Purchaser

**Key Responsibilities**:
Source and establish relationships with shrimp harvesters, suppliers, or fishing companies.

Negotiate prices, quantities, and terms of purchase while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Inspect and assess the quality, size, and freshness of shrimp batches.

Coordinate logistics, including transportation and storage, to maintain shrimp quality.

Maintain records of purchases, inventory, and supplier details.

Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
Experience in seafood procurement or related fields is advantageous.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of seafood quality standards and grading systems.

Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.

Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

Understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Both the shrimp harvester and purchaser roles are integral parts of the seafood supply chain, ensuring the availability of high-quality shrimp for consumers while maintaining sustainable harvesting and procurement practices.

For freshers with limited computer skills, it's essential to convey a willingness to learn and adapt. Demonstrating enthusiasm, eagerness to acquire new skills, and a proactive attitude can be attractive to potential employers or programs offering opportunities for growth.
