**Job Description: School Librarian**
**Position**: School Librarian
**Reports to**: Principal
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the school library, including cataloging, classifying, and organizing resources.
- Assist students and staff in locating and selecting appropriate reading and research materials.
- Promote reading and literacy through book recommendations, displays, and activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date collection of books, digital resources, and other learning materials.
- Oversee library operations, including budgeting, inventory, and resource management.
- Teach information literacy skills and encourage responsible use of library resources.
- Organize reading programs, book clubs, and other literacy-focused events.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
- Passion for fostering a love of reading and learning in students.
