Job Title: Pipe/ Structural Fitter

Location: Panvel, Navi Mumbai

**Salary**: ₹24000 - ₹35000 per month

Offshore Allowance: Provided (as applicable)

Offshore /Onshore Experience Must

Minimum experience - 5-8 years

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities

Pipe Fitters are tasked with various responsibilities that are fundamental to the operational effectiveness of numerous industrial systems. Their primary duties include:

- Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions and preparing materials and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout requirements.
- Using a variety of tools to modify pipes to specifications.
- Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe to required shapes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Assembling and welding pipe components and systems.
- Securing pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- Ordering required materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
- Repairing and maintaining pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
- Clearing pipe systems of obstructions and testing their functionality.
- Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
- Securing pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
- Installing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including pumps and valves.
- Testing piping systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Complying with all safety protocols and regulations during installation and maintenance.
- Collaborating with other trades, such as plumbers, HVAC technicians, and project managers, to ensure cohesive work environments and operations.

Education and Certification Requirements

Prospective Pipe Fitters must meet specific educational and certification prerequisites to excel in their roles. These requirements typically include:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ITI Fitter.
- A completed apprenticeship or vocation training in pipefitting is highly advantageous.
