In your role as Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sewage Treatment Plant, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and optimizing treatment processes. Your specific duties will include, but are not limited to: - Monitoring and Control: You will be responsible for monitoring the sewage treatment process and ensuring that the plant operates efficiently and effectively. This includes regularly checking equipment, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure proper functioning. - Process Operation: You will operate and control the different stages of the sewage treatment process, including primary treatment, secondary treatment, and disinfection. This involves adjusting process parameters, such as flow rates, chemical dosing, and aeration levels, to maintain optimal treatment performance. - Sampling and Testing: You will collect samples from various points in the treatment process and conduct laboratory tests to analyze the quality of influent and effluent. This helps in identifying any deviations from required standards and taking corrective actions accordingly. - Maintenance and Repairs: You will perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning screens, replacing filters, and calibrating equipment. Additionally, you may troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation issues that may arise during plant operations. - Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: It is your responsibility to identify and resolve any operational issues or malfunctions in the treatment process. This can involve investigating causes, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective or preventive measures. - Emergency Preparedness: You will need to be prepared to handle emergencies, such as equipment failures, power outages, or excessive inflow. This includes following established emergency response procedures, notifying relevant authorities, and taking appropriate actions to minimize potential impacts. - Regulatory Compliance: You must ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits related to sewage treatment. This involves maintaining accurate records, submitting required reports to regulatory agencies, and implementing necessary process modifications as per regulatory requirements. - Safety and Environmental Stewardship: You will promote and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe working practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the treatment plant operates in an environmentally responsible manner, such as properly handling and disposing of chemicals and waste products. - Team Collaboration: You may collaborate with other operators, maintenance personnel, and management to coordinate work schedules, share information, and support the overall functioning of the treatment plant. - It's important to note your work timing will be Alternative weekly wise Shift I: 6.00 am to 2:00 pm, Shift II : 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Shift III: 10.00 pm to 6.00 am And you will report directly to the Supervisor. you are expected to adhere to the company policies and regulations. - Please note that this offer is contingent upon the successful completion of the background check and verification of your references. - We are excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to working with you.
