**Position Summary**:
The OT Surgical Assistant at Trinity Hospital is a skilled professional responsible for providing expert assistance during surgical procedures, managing the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), and providing anesthesia support when needed. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Surgical Assistance**:

- Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, arranging instruments, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
- Provide instruments, sutures, and supplies promptly to surgeons during procedures.

2. **CSSD Management**:

- Oversee the CSSD, ensuring proper sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor instrument inventory and coordinate with relevant departments for timely availability.

3. **Anesthesia Support**:

- Assist the anesthesiologist with patient positioning, monitoring, and preparation for anesthesia administration.
- Ensure patient safety during the administration and recovery from anesthesia.

4. **Equipment Handling**:

- Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with the biomedical engineering team for equipment maintenance and repairs.

5. **Documentation**:

- Document instrument counts, equipment usage, and other relevant information accurately.
- Maintain proper records related to CSSD and anesthesia support activities.

6. **Ethical Practice**:

- Uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols during procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Medical Science.
- Minimum [2] years of experience as an OT Surgical Assistant, including CSSD management and anesthesia support. **Previous NABH work experience preferred.**
