You will be working as Firmware Product Line Architect and will be part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology or product development by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions in the context of software/firmware product-lines. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee the development, testing and architecting of software and firmware product-line systems in the digital team of business-line Motion-Service in the context of smart sensors.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Contributing to the development of strategic technology plans and project portfolio in own organization
- Performing a variety of complex technology/engineering assignments, which typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques
- Acting as a project leader or experienced project member and potential scrum master
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the project, providing guidance to colleagues, acting as a mentor, and sharing lessons learned
- Representing own group/team in engineering and research forums, both internal and external to ABB

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in software/firmware architecture and software/firmware product-lines by externally reviewing current technologies
- Ability to demonstrate solid competence in technologies, tools and methods in software and firmware product-lines
- Sound working knowledge of relevant processes and tools and can train junior team members when needed
