**Purpose**

In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional outreach responsibilities.

**Job Duties and Accountabilities**
- Edit and fact-check opinion pieces, blog posts, and other communication material such as newsletters
- Write timely, media-worthy and engaging press releases on CEEW’s reports
- Develop interesting story/content ideas for different mediums, social media and readers
- impact stories for CEEW on a regular basis
- Manage the CEEW blog. This includes commissioning and editing blogs, and ensuring a regular flow of content
- Ensure the quality of content is maintained as per CEEW standards across different content products. Ensure strict adherence to CEEW branding guidelines
- Co-create an in-house style sheet with the Editorial Lead
- Aid in the creation of impact stories from CEEW’s work

**Additional responsibilities**
- Support the Communications Specialist in managing and strengthening CEEW's media engagement.
- Support the Outreach team on a range of tasks

**Selection Criteria**

Qualification
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or any related field.

Work experience and other skills
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in editing and writing.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality written content for different mediums.
- Excellent grasp of the English language.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- A big appetite for news and spotting media trends.
- Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities, projects and internal/external resources in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Strong drive and initiative, a self-starter.
