As a Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will join a dynamic team of coding experts dedicated to delivering exceptional coding services to our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be accurately assigning medical codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**
- Work remotely from the your home office providing coding services to our clients;
- Review and correct payer coding edits during the claim edit review process.
- Resolve edits by adding appropriate modifiers when required or takes other appropriate action.
- Meet productivity and accuracy expectations.

**Qualifications**

**Required**:

- **RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CCS-P credential from AHIMA; Or a CPC, COC or CIC from AAPC**:

- **Ability to resolve payer coding edits, strong understanding of when to append a modifier or adjust a charge(s).**:

- **3 years Facility & Profee experience: billing edits (ex: lab edits, NCCI, OCE, LMRP, LCD, CM CCI edits); and knowledge of hospital billing codes (Revenue, HCPCS, CPT, etc.)**

**Preferred**:

- **Experience with EMR, multiple encoders and abstracting systems**
