**Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching and Curriculum Development**:

- Design and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in English language, literature, composition, or related fields.
- Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Employ innovative teaching methods, technologies, and instructional materials to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Stay updated on current trends, theories, and methodologies in English studies and integrate them into teaching practices.
- **Research and Scholarly Activity**:

- Conduct original research in English literature, linguistics, rhetoric, or other relevant areas, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences.
- Seek external funding opportunities through grants and fellowships to support research projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the university and in the broader academic community on interdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and other scholarly forums.
- **Student Advising and Mentoring**:

- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students majoring or minoring in English.
- Assist students in course selection, academic planning, and career development.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual growth.
- **Service and Professional Development**:

- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees to contribute to academic governance and institutional initiatives.
- Participate in outreach activities, public lectures, and community engagement events to promote English studies and literacy.
- Engage in professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Contribute to the academic community through peer review, editorial work, and involvement in professional organizations.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹216,000.00 per year
