**Job Description: Cashier**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and accurate transactions at the point of sale. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and ability to handle cash transactions will contribute to the overall positive shopping experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide relevant information.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns courteously and efficiently.

2. **Transaction Processing**:

- Accurately and efficiently scan, ring up, and process customer purchases.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions with precision.
- Calculate and process discounts, coupons, and promotions as applicable.
- Issue accurate receipts to customers.

3. **Cash Management**:

- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure any discrepancies are reported and resolved following company policies.

4. **Product Knowledge**:

- Stay informed about the products we offer to assist customers effectively.
- Provide basic product information to customers as needed.

5. **Cleanliness and Organization**:

- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Arrange merchandise and promotional displays at the checkout counter.

6. **Security and Compliance**:

- Adhere to security procedures to prevent theft and ensure a safe environment.
- Follow company policies and guidelines regarding cash handling and transaction procedures.

7. **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless store operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to manage customer flow and address issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduation.
- Prior experience in a cashier or retail position is a plus.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills to operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Customer-focused attitude and a willingness to assist.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Integrity and trustworthiness in handling confidential information and cash.

**Working Hours**:
From 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month

**Benefits**:

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ludhiana, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
