**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care within the medical-surgical unit and operating room (OR).
- Provide support in various clinical tasks, including patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation of medical history.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient services.
- Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient interactions and assist with coding for medical records.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide information, answer questions, and address concerns regarding their care.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing necessary paperwork.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient care or medical administrative support.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience working in a Level II trauma center or similar high-acuity environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of coding practices related to hospital medicine will be beneficial for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to provide exceptional patient service and foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike.
