F&b Service Captain

**Position Overview**:The Service Captain plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences within a hospitality or food service establishment. This role involves overseeing the smooth operation of the dining area, managing the service staff, and maintaining high standards of service quality. The Service Captain is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, anticipating customer needs, and addressing any concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Management**:Supervise and coordinate the activities of the service staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers.
Assign tasks, set expectations, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure efficient workflow.
Conduct training sessions to educate staff on service standards, menu items, and customer interaction.

**Customer Service**:Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
Attend to customer inquiries, reservations, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Anticipate customer needs and provide personalized recommendations based on menu preferences and dietary restrictions.

**Dining Area Management**:Oversee the arrangement and cleanliness of tables, chairs, and overall dining environment.
Ensure proper table settings, including utensils, glassware, and décor, in line with the establishment's standards.
Maintain a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing dining area throughout service hours.

**Order Taking and Processing**:Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and specials.
Communicate orders to the kitchen staff and monitor order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Address any discrepancies or special requests regarding orders promptly.

**Conflict Resolution**:Handle customer complaints or concerns diplomatically and professionally.
Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Implement effective solutions to prevent similar issues in the future.

**Upselling and Promotion**:Recommend additional menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the customer's dining experience.
Highlight ongoing promotions, specials, and events to increase sales and revenue.

**Payment Processing**:Process customer bills accurately, present them promptly, and handle payments securely.
Coordinate with cashier or payment systems to ensure smooth and efficient payment transactions.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage a fast-paced dining environment effectively.
- Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and culinary techniques to assist with customer inquiries.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with poise.
- Leadership skills to guide and motivate service staff to perform at their best.
- Attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

**Salary**: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
