This is a remote position.

We are seeking a talented and passionate freelance contributor to join our team at Gossip.GG, an exciting media outlet focusing on Gaming, Esports, and Tech. As a freelance contributor for the Esports team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content related to the esports industry. Your work will primarily focus on news articles, features, match updates, results and breakdowns, catering to a diverse audience of esports enthusiasts.

**Contribution Expectation** - 15-20 articles per week.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Content Creation: Produce high-quality written content, including news articles, feature stories, opinion pieces, and educational articles centered around esports.

2. Research: Conduct thorough research on various esports topics, including tournaments, teams, players, industry trends, and related news, to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information in your work.

3. Story Ideation: Generate creative and compelling ideas for articles that align with the website's editorial direction and audience interests.

4. Writing Style and Voice: Maintain a consistent writing style and voice that resonates with the website's brand and audience, while adhering to editorial guidelines and best practices.

5. Editing and Proofreading: Review and revise your content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy before submission, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with the editorial team, providing input on content strategy, contributing to brainstorming sessions, and incorporating feedback to improve content.

7. Deadline Management: Meet assigned deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content.

9. Stay Current: Stay abreast of the latest esports news, trends, and developments to create timely and relevant content for the website's audience.

**Requirements**:
1. Esports Enthusiast: A genuine interest in and knowledge of the esports industry, including popular games, teams, players, and major tournaments.

2. Writing Experience: Proven experience in writing, preferably within the esports industry. Previous experience in journalism, blogging, or content creation is desirable.

3. Excellent Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and well-structured articles while maintaining accuracy and adhering to deadlines.

4. Research Skills: Strong research abilities to gather information from reliable sources and translate complex topics into accessible content.

5. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, with a focus on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and fact-checking.

6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt writing style and tone to different content types and target audiences.

7. Familiarity with SEO: Basic understanding of search engine optimization principles and techniques to optimize content for discoverability.
