**Role description**:
**Job Title**: Performance Tester**:
**Location**:Chennai

**Role Proficiency**:
As a **Performance Tester**, your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Performance Validation**: Ensure that new or revised components or systems meet performance expectations, including criteria such as usability, performance, reliability, and compatibility.
- **Documentation**: Document and report test results, detailing defects and issues that arise during testing, and ensure that these are communicated effectively to the development team for resolution.
- **Quality Standards**: Ensure compliance with established standards throughout the testing process to guarantee the functionality and performance meet the required specifications.

**Must-Have Skills / Requirements**:

- **Performance Testing Tools**: Experience with industry-standard **performance testing tools** such as **LoadRunner**, **JMeter**, or similar.
- **Defect Reporting**: Skilled in documenting and reporting **test results** and defects in a clear and concise manner.
- **Knowledge of Performance Metrics**: Understanding of key **performance testing metrics** like **response time**, **throughput**, **concurrent users**, and **system resource utilization**.
- **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide feedback to improve performance.

**Good-to-Have Skills / Desirable Experience**:

- **Automation Testing**: Experience with **automated testing** tools or scripting for performance testing (e.g., Selenium or similar).
- **Cloud Testing**: Familiarity with **cloud-based testing environments** (AWS, Azure, etc.) for performance testing.
- **Load Testing**: Experience with **scaling tests** and assessing how systems perform under stress, such as handling high-volume traffic or transaction loads.
- **Scripting Knowledge**: Knowledge of **scripting languages** (such as Python, Groovy, or JavaScript) to write custom performance tests.

**Experience Range**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of **3-5 years** of relevant performance testing experience in an agile or waterfall environment.
