As a Data Scientist II, you will play a key role in leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and solve complex business problems. This position typically requires 3-8 years of relevant experience in data science and analytics.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be a big plus.
**Responsibilities**:

Data Analysis and Modelling**:
- Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets.
- Develop and implement predictive models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to support business objectives.
**Data Exploration and Preprocessing**:
- Explore and clean raw data to prepare it for analysis.
- Work with big data technologies and databases to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data.
**Feature Engineering**
- Identify and create relevant features for model development.
- Collaborate with domain experts to incorporate business knowledge into feature engineering.
**Model Evaluation**
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
- Fine-tune models for better accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
**Data Visualization and Communication**:
- Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create visualizations to effectively convey complex data-driven insights.
**Collaboration and Cross-functional Communication**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, engineers, and product managers.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.
**Continuous Learning and Innovation**:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in data science methodologies.
**Project Management**:
- Manage end-to-end data science projects, from problem definition to deployment.
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.
**Qualifications**:

Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s or master’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data / Computer Science or related discipline.
- 3-8 years’ experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics developing ML models in Python.
- Work/project experience in Sensors, IoT, Mobile, Manufacturing, or Supply-chain domain highly preferred.
- Shows ease in understanding the business requirements from the functional teams that are non-technical and possess the ability and skills in presenting the complex findings to business values and KPIs.
**Technical Skills**
- High Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R and SQL. Python preferred.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries - experience with various machine learning libraries including but not limited to TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, Matplotlib, NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address business challenges.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure the Large Language Models a plus.
