AWS DATA PM

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Manager to lead and manage the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud-based data infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the architecture, governance, and operations of data platforms hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring scalability, security, and performance to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage cloud-based data architectures using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, RDS, Athena, and Lake Formation.
Lead data strategy initiatives including data modeling, warehousing, and lakehouse solutions. Implement data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
Manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and administrators.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and prioritize initiatives.
Monitor and optimize data systems performance, cost, and reliability.
Stay current with AWS updates, industry trends, and emerging data technologies.
Evaluate and implement tools for data cataloging, observability, and automation.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
12+ years of experience in data engineering or data management roles.
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda).
Strong SQL, Python,PySpark and data modeling skills.
Experience with data pipeline tools (Airflow, AWS Glue, Step Functions).
Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., AWS CDK, CloudFormation).

Secondary Skill
AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
Experience with real-time data processing (Kinesis, Kafka).
Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
