**About this Team**

This team is a Platform Engineering team who deals with IT Infrastructure Platform services mainly running VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, HPE Synergy etc. Morpheus automation tool is also being used. The team is also responsible for VM builds and decommissions, Troubleshooting, DR tests, Vulnerability remediation, automation etc.

**What you will be doing**
- VMware administration will be the primary responsibility. Other related Platform Engineering responsibilities may be assigned depending on bandwidth and skill.
- He/She will also contribute to Service Improvement & Automation KPIs among other duties and responsibilities.
- Plan and implement tech refreshes/replacements and migration of data from one array to another
- Plan and implement Compute Expansion
- Work alongside key vendors (i.e. VMware, Cisco
- UCS and HPE) to drive the development and deployment of their technologies within the environment
- Develop and manage deployment, reporting, and project solutions with scripting, automation, and orchestration tools.
- Design and implement technology solutions based on VMware products and provide support for escalated performance issues within this product suite.
- Identify opportunities, develop solutions & drive improvements across the server platforms.
- Collaborate with the wider Architecture teams to contribute to solution designs and develop standards
- Performing knowledge transfer and mentoring of staff
- Assists in the development of disaster recovery plans with service providers and Business Continuity (BCT) Team.
- On-call weekly rotation at least once every 4 weeks.

- VMware and ITIL knowledge, Focus on Service improvements and automation, Knowledge of BCP and DR, Self-Learner, Flexible and ready to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware
- Knowledge of storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices
- Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
