**Job Description : Structural Steel Fabrication Fitter**

**Roles & Responsibilities***:
1. Fits and assembles structural frameworks, such as angle, I-beams, and steel plate, using hand tools and welding equipment and following blueprint specifications:
2. Examines blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications

3. Lays out parts dimensions, using square, chalk.

4. Tack-welds scrap metal to outline to provide jig for assembly.

5. Positions parts in jig and files, chisels, and grinds parts, as indicated, to fit them together.

6. May heat parts with acetylene torch and bend them in vise, on anvil, or around stakes mounted in table.

7. Maintain and repair all equipment and use with care

8. Responsible for simple welding techniques to tack parts in preparation for welding processes

**Qualification**:
1. Ability to read blueprints and drawings

2. Knowledge of shop math and problem-solving skills

3. Ability to learn new tasks and operate tools and machinery

4. Knowledge and operation of overhead cranes, torches, welding machines and shop tools

5. Ability to lift 60 lbs.

6. Ability to pass a basic weld test

7. Ability to follow safety and quality instructions. Proper use of PPE and attend safety training applicable to your job position

Job Type : Full Time

Schedule : 12 Hours Shift

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
