As a Design Engineer (Mechanical), you will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will play a crucial role in the product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring that designs meet technical specifications, regulatory standards, and quality requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in creating Bills of Materials (BOM), Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and managing production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design:
Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies.

Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other disciplines.

Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ):
Develop and maintain accurate BOMs and BOQs for products, including materials, components, and sub-assemblies.

Coordinate with procurement and production teams to optimize material usage and costs.

Production Schedule Management:
Create and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with production managers to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Monitor production progress and implement adjustments to meet project deadlines.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of design and production processes.

Provide clear and concise documentation of design specifications and changes.

Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on design progress and address any concerns.

Quality Assurance:
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to enhance product quality.

Conduct tolerance analysis and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and reliability standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

Knowledge of creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Experience in production schedule management.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Familiarity with other CAD software.

Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
