An exciting opportunity has arisen at Laboratories at Navi Mumbai, India for **TRAINEE - CHEMIST.**

As a **Trainee - Chemist** you will be responsible for documentation and to analyse samples of different agriculture commodities, develop, validate, implement, maintain and coordinate the standard operating procedures.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Sample receipt, coding and decoding of samples
- Coordinate with the customer for the sample details and any other requirements
- Coordinate with the chemists for the finalization of analysis results and report
- Preparation of documents after analysis and prepare analysis report
- Maintain documentation in accordance to the requirements of ISO 17025
- Responsible to follow and coordinate with the vendors for the calibration of equipments and glassware as per the Calibration schedule
- Coordinate with vendors and manage inventory of various reagents, chemicals and consumables
- Standardization of chemicals used in various testing
- Assist seniors in testing of Moisture, Fat, Protein, Brix, Dietary Fiber, Ash, Acid insoluble ash, FFA, Peroxide value, Iodine Value etc in food and agricultural products/ samples in accordance to the established SOPs or standard test methods
- Samples may include but not limited to agri products (dry & liquid), food grains, feed
- Assist Chemist, Senior Chemist and Laboratory Manager

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science (Chemistry or related discipline)
- Fresher/experience of 1-2 years of working in testing laboratories
- Knowledge and first-hand experience of Instrumentation UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Tintometer, Refractometer, Karlfischer Titrator etc.
- Awareness of ISO 17025 & Good Lab Practice (GLP)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office and other necessary software
