Billing Executive

The Medical Billing Executive will be responsible for managing billing processes, admissions, discharge procedures, and resolving queries related to corporate patients under various schemes such as AYUSHMAN BHARAT, CGHS, ECHS, TPA, ESIC, and insurance policies. The role will involve the generation of bills, submission of claims, and coordination with corporate partners to ensure accurate and timely payments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Billing and Claims Processing**:

- Create accurate bills for patients under corporate tie-ups (AYUSHMAN BHARAT, CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, TPA, insurance, etc.).
- Ensure timely submission of bills to the concerned authority or insurance companies.
- Process admissions and discharges efficiently with proper documentation and billing accuracy.
- Manage cashless claims and ensure smooth claim settlement with TPA and insurance companies.
- **Admissions and Discharges**:

- Facilitate patient admissions by coordinating with the front desk, clinical staff, and patient relatives.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation for corporate patients (like authorization letters) is in order before admission.
- Complete discharge formalities in line with hospital policies, ensuring the final bill is clear and ready for settlement.
- **Query Resolution**:

- Resolve patient and corporate inquiries regarding billing, admission, discharge, and claim status.
- Work with TPA coordinators, corporate liaisons, and insurance partners to solve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Address and resolve escalations related to payment delays or denial of claims.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of bills, claims, and discharges.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly billing and claim reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with the hospital’s policies and regulatory requirements for billing.
- **Coordination and Liaison**:

- Liaise with internal hospital departments, such as finance, operations, and clinical departments, to ensure the smooth processing of claims and billing.
- Communicate with corporate patients and their employers to provide updates on billing status, insurance claims, and payment queries.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Finance, or a related field.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with AYUSHMAN BHARAT, CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, TPA, and insurance claim procedures.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and corporate query resolution.
- Proficiency in billing software and hospital management systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in billing procedures.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
