The opportunity
- Lead the implementation of transport safety strategies and initiatives across Toll’s logistics operations in India, ensuring alignment with corporate HSE policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable transport safety regulations, including motor vehicle laws, driver safety standards, and hazardous goods transportation guidelines.
- Conduct thorough investigations of transport-related incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Prepare detailed reports, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers and transport staff, including defensive driving, fatigue management, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with fleet and operations teams to ensure vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition. Participate in vehicle inspections and audits.
- Track and analyse transport safety KPIs (e.g., accident frequency, driver violations, compliance scores) and present insights to management for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, HR, fleet, compliance) and external partners (vendors, contractors) to promote a culture of safety and accountability.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in a similar role in Logistics & Supply Chain industry
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Safety Management, with a proven track record in developing and implementing robust safety programs and achieving measurable reductions in incident rates.
