**Job Title - Principal - Database Administrator**

**Technical / Behavioral**
- Setting up Cassandra & Spark Database
- Installation and Configuration
- Monitoring enablement using Opscenter & Datadog
- Based on the requirement need to create automation script using Bash shell or Python
- Provide 12X7 support and ensure with best services to all the critical databases
- Collaborate with teams/vendors to fix the issue in a timely manner
- Exposure on Agile-Kanban methodology

**Experience and Qualifications and skills**:

- 10+ Years of Experience
- Should have a strong understanding on Linux internals
- Should have a strong understanding on NoSQL falvours mainly on Cassandra(DataStax & Apache) and Spark
- Should have a strong understanding on AWS cloud like EC2, S3, CFT, EBS, AWS CLI
- Should have good exposure on monitoring tools like DataStax Opscenter & Datadog
- Should be able to perform automations using Bash Shell or Python script
- Should have good exposure or hands on experience with DevOps tools like Ansible / Docker / Jenkins / Aritfactory & API
- Excellent communication skills

**The Skills that are Good To Have for this role**
- Process oriented
- AWS or Azure cloud knowledge
- Exposure to any NOSQL

**How Your Work Impacts the Organization**

Production Support which includes 7x12 oncall support, Database Infrastructure Support, performance monitoring, 1st level performance troubleshooting, Risk/Audit compliance and Non-Prod database refreshes.

Database and Oracle Application Maintenance includes Oracle Database upgrades, Database reorganizations, Security Patching, Application Upgrades.

**The Expertise We’re Looking For**
- 10+ years of IT experience
- Graduate

**Location**: Chennai

**Shift timings**: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
