Job description

We are seeking a "Consultant - BitBucket SME" which may potentially convert to a full-time role with a multinational medical devices company

Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Requirements Analysis:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business / functional requirements.
- Analyze and translate business needs into technical requirements and BitBucket configurations.
- Create user stories, use cases, and process flows to support the development and implementation of BitBucket solutions.
- BitBucket Administration and Configuration:

- Perform regular updates and upgrades of BitBucket software to ensure the latest features and security patches are applied.
- Monitor BitBucket performance and take proactive steps to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks, such as user management, and backup processes.
- Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Added advantage if having experience in Script runner
- Configure and customize BitBucket repositories, branching strategies, and permissions.
- Develop and maintain BitBucket pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Implement and manage BitBucket add-ons and plugins to extend functionality as needed.
- DevSecOps Integration:

- Ensure seamless integration of BitBucket with other DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, and others.
- Support CI/CD processes using BitBucket.
- Work closely with DevSecOps teams to understand their requirements and optimize BitBucket usage within the DevSecOps pipeline.
- Training and Support:

- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on BitBucket best practices and usage.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BitBucket configurations and integrations.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the BitBucket and DevSecOps environment.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BitBucket administration and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Proactively recommend enhancements and optimizations to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Extensive experience with BitBucket administration and configuration.
- Proven experience in a DevSecOps environment, with a good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Skills:

- Programming knowledge preferably Java.
- Debugging skill.
- Proficiency in Git.
- Knowledge of GxP, ISO 13485 and Medical Device Software (SaMD) will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation and user guides.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python, Shell) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in BitBucket Administration or related disciplines.
- Experience with other Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bamboo.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
