Job Description: Admissions Counselor

Position Overview: As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in recruiting and admitting qualified students to our institution. You will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and guide them through the admissions process, providing information, guidance, and support to help them make informed decisions about their educational journey. Your goal will be to attract a diverse and talented pool of students who align with our institution's mission and values.

**Responsibilities**:
Student Recruitment: Actively engage in student recruitment activities by attending college fairs, high school visits, and other relevant events. Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote our institution and attract potential students.

Counseling and Advising: Provide comprehensive and accurate information to prospective students regarding academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships, campus facilities, and student services. Offer guidance and support throughout the enrollment process, addressing any concerns or questions and helping students make informed decisions.

Enrollment Support: Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students, coordinating enrollment activities, and assisting with registration and orientation processes. Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and staff to address any issues or concerns during the enrollment period.

Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in educational policies or regulations. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new recruitment opportunities and develop strategies to enhance the institution's enrollment efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, Counseling, Psychology, etc.). A master's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in admissions, student recruitment, or counseling is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and connect with prospective students, parents, and high school counselors.
- Knowledge of college admissions processes, financial aid, and educational systems.
- Ability to analyze academic credentials, transcripts, and other applicant documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for recruitment events.
