Electrician

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems and equipment in training facilities, workshops, and classrooms.
- Ensure proper functioning of simulators, control panels, lighting, power distribution, and other electrical components.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
- Work closely with instructors and technical staff to support hands-on training sessions and practical demonstrations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maritime regulations, and electrical codes.
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in the procurement of electrical components and ensure proper inventory management.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant certification.
- Minimum [X] years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a maritime or training environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, circuit breakers, and control panels.
- Experience with maritime simulators or training equipment is an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the maritime industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

**Work Environment & Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in a training institute setup with exposure to various electrical systems.
- May require occasional lifting, climbing, or working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements.
