- **Sales and promotions**: Inform customers about current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs. Assist in achieving sales targets by upselling and promoting products.
- **Point-of-sale (POS) operations**: Accurately process sales transactions, handle payments (cash, credit), and manage returns and exchanges.
- **Store maintenance**: Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and organized. This includes restocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
- **Inventory management**: Assist with stock control by monitoring inventory levels, receiving shipments, performing stock counts, and reporting low stock.
- **Product knowledge**: Stay informed about products and services to answer customer questions knowledgeably and confidently.
- **Administrative tasks**: Handle returns, complete paperwork, and sometimes prepare sales reports.
- **Team collaboration**: Work with other team members to achieve store goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
