Automation Engineer:
**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
Â- Work as part of cross functional team developing and implementing UI and/or API automation in an Agile environment

Â- Develop a deep understanding of the business context under which your team operates and present feature recommendations.

Â- Develop and maintain functional test scripts from provided functional and technical designs.

Â- Review automation results, debug failures and suggest changes to frameworks, as needed

Â- Track and report defects in an agile development environment

Â- Reports discrepancies and analyzes them to determine the root causes.

Â- Compares and analyzes system behavior vs. expected results/KPIs based on business and technical requirements. Identifies issues, proposes system improvements and performs repetitive test execution to resolve identified issues.

Â- Perform project tasks and solve problems with little or no assistance and guidance

**Requirements**:
Mandatory Skills:

- Strong background in API testing, json, and XML, as well as exposure to databases and proficiency in Java.

Â- Good understanding on SDLC, STLC process, CI/CD and Quality Assurance methodologies.

Â- Good exposure towards preparing and reviewing Test Design, Test Strategy, Test cases and other testing related artifacts.

Â- Good hands on experience with working on Core Java.

Â- Experience working with APIs - SOAP/REST services and Backend testing frameworks using industry automated tools such as SoapUI, Postman, rest assured, JMeter etc.

Â- Experience with version control system such as GitLab

Â- Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle and able to write SQL queries.

Â- Good understanding and experience with agile software development methodologies
