Photographer, Amazon Imaging Services

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. - Minimum of 4 years of e-commerce and product photography experience. - Strong knowledge of digital photography, including lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics. - Strong knowledge of common digital capture platforms (Canon/Nikon/Sony DSLRs); various lighting environments (strobe, HMI, fluorescent, and LED); and best practices/conventions for grip and set safety. - Proficient working knowledge of industry standard image capture technology, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite and CaptureOne Pro. - Working knowledge of photography production process. - Proficient working knowledge of Mac and PC computing platforms. - English (written and verbal) at professional level. - Stand and/or walk during shifts between 8-9 hours long. - Engage in full dexterity with both hands and wrists.

Key job responsibilities
- Produce a wide variety of photographic and video content.
- Create catalogue images to shape the look and feel of the Amazon Style Guide.
- Partner with Art Direction and Styling team to execute on bar raising imagery.
- Create, Modify & Update working Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for photographic production.
- Maintain all video and photography equipment and make suggestions for updating and upgrading existing gear.
- Provide training and coaching to less experienced team members.
- Identify and address safety hazards within the studio work area.
- Interface with internal partners as required.
- Assist in estimating project time lines, staffing requirements and scheduling needs.
- Contribute to/lead regional and global video initiatives.
- Directly engage technology and operations teams to efficiently resolve problems and implement process improvements.

A day in the life
- Partners with other domain specific managers to execute a creative strategy
- Demonstrates specific experience and knowledge in photography/videography workflow to develop the creative skills of associates
- Ability to differentiate associates work output by level against the quality bar
- Scope projects and assess business impact. Executes resource allocation requests for production needs
- Works towards gathering customer experience and industry trends to helps team understand how to balance these with the needs of the Amazon customer
- Monitors operational efficiency, meeting SLAs, and delivering results

- Video Capture and editing expertise. - Off Figure Photography - On Figure Photography and model direction. - Ability to create, present and execute against creative brief/storyboard. - Familiarity with how photography is consumed on e-commerce and social media platforms. - Experience working in a metrics/productivity-based environment.
