Sanskrit Teacher

**Job Title**: Sanskrit Language Teacher (**Female**)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**:Develop and deliver well-structured and interactive lesson plans that align with the school's Sanskrit curriculum for grades 1st to 7th. Introduce students to the basics of Sanskrit language, including grammar, vocabulary, script, and pronunciation. Utilize diverse teaching methods, such as storytelling, chanting, and recitation, to make Sanskrit learning enjoyable and relevant.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:Regularly assess students’ understanding and progress through tests, quizzes, oral assessments, and assignments. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their language skills. Prepare students for internal exams and assessments, ensuring that they understand both written and spoken aspects of the language.
- **Cultural Integration**:Introduce students to the rich cultural heritage associated with the Sanskrit language, including mythology, ancient literature, and traditional values. Organize and participate in school events, such as Sanskrit Day celebrations, recitation competitions, and cultural programs. Foster a sense of pride and appreciation for India's linguistic and cultural heritage through the study of Sanskrit.
- **Parent Communication**:Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and achievements. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss students’ academic development and address any concerns or areas for improvement. Suggest resources and activities that parents can use to support their child’s Sanskrit learning at home.
- **Professional Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff to create a holistic learning environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops to stay updated on modern teaching strategies for Sanskrit. Contribute to curriculum development and the creation of teaching resources for the Sanskrit program.
- **Other Duties**:Will be discussed during interview.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Qualification**: Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit, Sanskrit Literature, or a related field. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education (B.Ed./M.Ed.) with a specialization in Sanskrit is preferred.
- **Experience**: A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in Sanskrit language instruction, especially for grades 1st to 7th in an English medium setting.
- **Language Proficiency**: Strong command of Sanskrit and fluency in English. Knowledge of Hindi or Marathi is an added advantage.
- **Technical Skills**: Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching tools for enhanced learning.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to connect with young students. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students and parents.
