Assistant Professor

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the designated field(s) of expertise, using effective and engaging instructional methods that promote student learning and critical thinking.
- Develop and update course syllabi, learning objectives, and instructional materials to ensure alignment with departmental and institutional goals, as well as current best practices in the field.
- Mentor and advise students, providing academic guidance, career counseling, and support for research and professional development activities.
- Conduct original research and scholarly activities in the designated field(s), producing high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and other scholarly outlets.
- Seek external funding and grants to support research projects and initiatives, collaborating with colleagues and external partners as appropriate.
- Participate actively in departmental and institutional committees, meetings, and events, contributing to shared governance and academic leadership.
- Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, institution, profession, and community, such as serving on committees, reviewing manuscripts, organizing conferences, and participating in outreach activities.
- Stay current on developments in the designated field(s) through ongoing professional development, attendance at conferences, workshops, and seminars, and involvement in professional organizations.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary research, teaching, and collaboration.
- Uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism in all aspects of teaching, research, and service.

**Qualifications**:

- Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D., etc.) in the designated field(s) or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in the designated field(s) through a record of scholarly publications, presentations, and/or creative works.
- Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with evidence of effective teaching, mentorship, and student engagement.
- Strong research background, with a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and success in securing external funding or grants (preferred).
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Dedication to the academic mission of the institution and a willingness to participate actively in departmental and institutional activities.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
