L2 + L3 Network and Security Expert

Note : We are looking for an expert in Network and Security Engineer, Routing Protocols (Static Routing, OSPF, and BGP), Configurations of VRF, HSRP, Load Sharing, Policy Based Routing, Access Control Lists, LAN, and NAT, Multicast, Firewall (Checkpoint, Paloalto), SDWAN, Proxy (Zscaler), Cloud (AWS) IMMEDIATE JOINERS ARE PREFERRED.

Roles & Responsibilities

Senior Network and Security Engineer is responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients. Their primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions.The Senior Network and Security is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems. This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices. Applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.
- Network and Security Engineer’s responsibilities include the design, installation, and maintenance of the Network and Security Infrastructure
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve solutions to a wide range of IOS, hardware, and connectivity failures methodologically and effectively. Able to provide solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practicable
- Troubleshooting network problems and outage
- Scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
- Directing system installation and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
- Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration

Design and implement new solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment
- Update tickets with resolution tasks performed
- Identify, Investigate, analyze issues and errors prior to or when they occur, and log all such incidents in a timely manner. Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance
- Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
- Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy

Report operational network status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
- Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
Configure routing and switching equipment and firewalls
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during the installation
- Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
- Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers.
- Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers on a regular basis
- Exposure to multicast environments (preferred)
- CCNP certified and Systems administration experience (preferred)

**Required Skills**:

- Strong Knowledge of Routing Protocols (Static Routing, OSPF, and BGP)
- Strong working knowledge of Multicast
- Strong working knowledge in Configurations of VRF, HSRP, Load Sharing, Policy Based Routing, Access Control Lists, LAN, NAT
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, network protocols, and packet analysis
- Knowledge in Firewall (Checkpoint / Paloalto), Routing, and Switching.
- Knowledge in Load Balancer (F5, Citrix).
- Knowledge in IPS / IDS (Tipping Point)
- Knowledge in Proxy (Zscaler)
- Strong Knowledge of Cisco, HP, and Extreme switches.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting firewall and switching issues.
- Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC VPN.
- Knowledge of Monitoring tools like SolarWinds and PRTG, ManageEnginee NMS.
- Networking troubleshooting skills and extensive knowledge of web connectivity and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, FTP, Telnet, SSH, etc.)
