Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a SOX Auditor role to join our Internal Audit team at our office at Hyderabad, India. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Internal Audit function. This position will report to the Global F&O Audit Manager in the Netherlands.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute detailed validation and testing of key controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance;- Execute detailed audit program steps that involve reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and compliance with established policies and procedures;- Prepare work papers to properly record and summarize the results of detailed audit testing and express an opinion on the outcome;- Skills and Personal Characteristics:_

Internal auditors are expected to have and further develop the following skills and personal characteristics:
- Willingness and desire to learn (desire, drive and motivation)- Attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to follow directions- Work well with teams and groups- Understand/demonstrate compliance with the Internal Audit Department and The Institute of Internal Auditors standards- Good listening skills- Diplomacy and respect- Methodical and disciplined approach- Deductive reasoning and ability to reach logical conclusions- Adaptable / flexible mindset- Interview skills- Clear, concise and persuasive communication skills- Ability to understand the interrelationship between risk and control
- Qualifications:_- 1 - 2 years of internal audit experience, prior SOX compliance experience is a plus;- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Decision Science and Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or comparable major;- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills;- Ability to work well in a dynamic, results-driven team environment;- Individual initiative, project management and multi-tasking skills;- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20%;- Must be committed to attaining relevant professional certification (CIA or CPA);- Excellent commend of both written and spoken English, other foreign language skills a plus.- Good understanding of SAP is a plus
