Key technology requirements:

**Role Purpose**:

- To carry out and manage testing activities as defined by the test strategy for a defined project or product.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Identification and maintenance of test specifications.
- Identification & maintenance of test results, Review test specification and test results.
- Ensure that document and quality reviews take place and are recorded.
- Awareness of project schedule, project definition and defined deliverables as per the priority.
- Participate in test design reviews to provide input on Test coverage, automation feasibility of tests, schedules, or potential problems.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology, Sprint Planning, Scrum etc
- Working knowledge of Database and SQL queries.
- Awareness of acceptance criteria and quality requirements.
- Contribute to maintenance of requirements traceability matrix to ensure that information is kept up to date.
- Ensure that defects are recorded and categorised accurately.
- Ensure that tasks assigned are addressed in order of agreed priority.
- Ensure that work carried out is in accordance with the Quality and Test processes.
- Understand functional and design documents of the assigned project.
- Define and implement appropriate test environments (along with RCM) in accordance with the test strategy.
- Work with test lead and team to assess ‘fit for purpose’ Quality status in accordance with the test strategy.
- Implementation of test tool and input to working processes.
- Ability to evaluate test tools and provide justification for implementation
- Keep up to date with test industry standards, tools and approaches
- Attend appropriate project meetings with other project team members and end users to gather information and fully understand the scope of the product and/or project.
- Determine test data requirements and gather, manipulate and maintain that data to ensure a stable test environment for the testing of new and amended software systems.
- All Design and develop formal test cases based on agreed test strategies and relevant specifications in line with defined acceptance criteria.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for possible improvements to current processes.
- Feedback and communicate with the product or project team regarding problems, defects, questions and suggestions that arise during the development and delivery lifecycle.
- Review technical and user documentation.

**Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications required to perform the role**

**Essential**:

- Professional Qualifications (Engineering or Computer Science Graduate): BE/B Tech/MCA/any Post Graduation
- Ability to specify and design test specifications.
- Ability to identify bugs and categorise them.
- Ability to perform/implement Agile methodology, Scrum etc
- Ability to carry out test reviews and estimate all aspects of testing.
- Technical Test ability and ability to perform SQL queries.
- Ability to install and configure builds for testing
- Demonstrate mentoring, communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to follow and adhere to quality processes.
- Ability to define requirements for an appropriate test environment.
- Ability to perform effective testing of software.
- Aware of testing techniques and standards.
- Ability to implement testing tools effectively.
- Ability to describe strategies for testing of both new developments and the maintenance of existing systems.
- Ability to describe different strategies for testing of both complete lifecycles and individual phases.
- Ability to plan testing needed at any level from component to user acceptance.
- Ability to analyse and recognise risks and use results to prioritise testing and share them across the team.
- Ability to interact effectively with others such as users, developers and managers.
- Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work.

**Desirable**
- Knowledge **of Insurance domain **will be an added advantage.
- Product development experience would be beneficial.
- Experience of JMeter, automation tool (Telerik Test Studio)
- Experience of installation and configuration of test environments.
- ISTQB or any other Testing certification

- Office environment
