**Roles and Responsibilities**

Data Scientist working for India with experience and qualification in data science domain with following key responsibilities:
Understand the Business Questions and Challenges across India Businesses

Model statistical and analytical solutions to these Business Challenges

Lead scripting expertise; engage to develop these models

Formulating, testing and validating hypotheses in an effort to establish viable use cases

Drive analytical maturity through education and training key Business Contacts

Collaborate with business teams to embed successful models into existing Business Processes and also with IT teams where services can be complimented with industralised solutions

Simplify and translate the world of Data Science and Statistics to Business Stakeholders

Exhibits necessary skills in data preparation, modelling, visual exploration and Insights services to end to end flows, internal business customers, business units in market

Constantly strive to derive business value assessment for every initiative.

Liaise with IT Architects, Master Data, Integration and other IT work streams to ensure solutions are designed with the most appropriate technology

Contribute towards good service delivery metrics required to measure the success of the operating model and Collaborate on root cause analyses to support services

Adequately trained and well versed with agile ways of working for delivery solutions and working with external partners and vendors if required Co-innovate with our solution and product partners to explore and implement new solutions that can be incorporated into our landscape in order to provide advanced End User Experience and capabilities.

Ideally Masters, or tertiary degree in Applied Statistics, Mathematics or Relevant tertiary education

Minimum 8 years working as a data scientist across complex data sets in a statistical/analytical role

Demonstrated ability to advise senior executive leadership team members directly

Proficient ability in data visualization techniques and software (e.g., MS Power BI, R, Python, Open source)

Demonstrated experience developing algorithms and predictive models to solve business problems

Proven experience in Machine Learning for some of the following: Propensity (Churn/ Acquisition / Cross Sell/ Up Sell) /Predictive Modelling; Regression Analysis; Campaign Analytics; Segmentation (cluster/basket); Pricing Analytics; Customer lifetime value analysis; Next best offer analysis; Decision trees; Neural Networks; Deep Learning; Optimization

Previous experience in R programming and Information Modelling/ETL within SQL, MS AZURE.

Strong business knowledge in FMCG/ CPG OR Retail industry and applied analytics to scenarios in context of this domain would be highly advantageous

5 years experience in Business Analytics engagement lifecycle, utilizing data science/insights services skills

Knowledge of agile, scrum, hackathon and design thinking methologies is a plus Good visualization skills for creating dashboards, scorecards, reports and insights 'A day in the life of... Partner with Market functions and Businesses to build and deliver towards a portfolio of analytics services Analyze complex data sets to answer strategic and operational business questions

Possess strong Visualization skills with experience in developing reports in PowerBI

Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, its components and integration with different systems.

Knowledge of SAP systems and technologies, especially BW and HANA
