We are looking for Database Engineer to:

- administer Greenplum database
- work with data engineers to optimize their queries
- be an advocate within the team to “do the right thing”
- maintain an understanding of industry trends and how new technologies can be leveraged to meet business objectives
- engage actively in Agile planning including story refinement, demos and retrospectives
- continually look for ways to improve your own skills and experience

- You’ll be part of a Data Science group in Pune, India. We are developing cutting edge digital solutions to help internal and external clients make better decisions with data. You will be part of a growing team that is focused on blending solutions covering digital marketing, technology, optimization and analytics to drive business results and digital transformation. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in the United Kingdom, the United States, Poland and India

**Your expertise**
- Looking for 10+ years of experience
- strong competence in administering databases such as Postgres, Greenplum
- strong competence in SQL and database design with a solid understanding of data architectures (e.g. Databases, data lakes)
- experience in Python will be a differenting factor
- good knowledge of the Linux environment
- hands on experience with a cloud platform is essential, ideally within the Azure Data ecosystem
- knowledge of Git version control
- experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
