The Librarian is responsible for managing library resources, providing information services, and promoting literacy and research skills within the school or community. The Librarian plays a vital role in supporting academic excellence, lifelong learning, and intellectual enrichment through the effective organization and dissemination of information.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Collection Development**: Select, acquire, and manage library materials, including books, periodicals, multimedia resources, and digital databases. Evaluate and update the library collection to meet the educational and informational needs of users.
- **Cataloging and Classification**: Catalog and classify library materials using standard systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification. Maintain accurate records of library holdings, circulation, and acquisitions.
- **Reference Services**: Provide reference assistance and research support to library users, including students, faculty, staff, and community members. Assist patrons in locating and accessing information resources, conducting literature searches, and using library technology.
- **Information Literacy Instruction**: Develop and deliver instructional programs and workshops to promote information literacy skills, research methodologies, and critical thinking abilities. Teach students how to evaluate sources, cite references, and navigate library resources effectively.
- **Library Management**: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, including circulation services, interlibrary loans, and reserves. Maintain the library facility, shelves, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
- **Technology Integration**: Leverage technology to enhance library services and resources, including online catalogs, electronic databases, digital archives, and e-books. Provide training and support to users on accessing and using digital resources.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate library resources and services into the school curriculum and academic programs. Participate in curriculum planning, instructional design, and assessment activities.
- **Promotion and Outreach**: Promote library resources, programs, and services through marketing initiatives, outreach activities, and social media channels. Organize events, book fairs, and author visits to engage and inspire library users.
- **Collection Assessment**: Assess the relevance, quality, and usage of library collections through statistical analysis, user feedback, and collection evaluations. Make recommendations for acquisitions, withdrawals, and resource reallocation.
- **Professional Development**: Stay informed about developments in library science, information technology, and educational trends. Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
