You will provide expert guidance and consultation on human-centred design, including design thinking, user experience design and service design, leading facilitation of personas, journey mapping, implementing tools and methodologies to engage targeted colleagues.

We partner closely with our wider People Analytics and Culture teams to develop a deep understanding of data and insights, guiding strategies and talent solutions. We use that information to encourage and coach cross-functional teams to develop a deep understanding of colleagues who ‘touch’ particular journeys, helping us extend our focus of the people experience beyond HR.

What will you be doing?
- Our role in Colleague Experience is to understand and optimise the people experience, by collaborating closely with key partners to understand critical colleague interactions and journeys, identifying moments that matter, developing and testing solutions crafted to improve the colleague experience.
- Understand and evaluate external standard methodologies in human experience within work, and help to develop capabilities and mindset for new ways of working across HR.
- Help develop and implement strategies that elevate the colleague experience across the group and positively impact business results and competitive advantage, as well as leading indicators - e.g. engagement, performance and retention.
- Craft and facilitate the use of tools and materials that build HR Business Partner and People Leader capabilities and drive engagement growth.
- Work with the Head of Colleague Experience and UX to help define strategies to continually improve team practices, deliver increased value and promotion of the team beyond its current remit.
- Delivering designs for digital experiences, focused on user needs, for delivery within agreed quality, time and cost constraints.
- Full design lifecycle (research, sketches, wireframes, journeys, maps, personas, prototypes, etc.) to drive discussions, gain stakeholder approval and communicate development and testing requirements.
- Ensuring all outputs adhere to all relevant policies and standards e.g. channel, brand, design language, accessibility.
- Collaborate with Journey owners and business leaders on Change plans based on insights from your research and align with engagement strategies and priorities critical to driving performance.

What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or quantitative discipline or proven experience on delivery of product on services on those lines
- 6+ years of experience of working in a similar UX role within a large organisation or agency
- Have excellent knowledge and understanding of UX and UI practices, and of utilisation of the core digital technologies e.g., including products such as the following, or similar to:

- Have succinct and efficient communication skills, including negotiation and influencing, with different audiences of both business and technical backgrounds, and a proven ability to achieve clear outcomes, consensus and resolve conflict.
- Be fully client focused at all times employing data to inform and validate designs decisions

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Be autonomous, proactive, adaptable and able to work both as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplined, agile team or alone as required.
- You insist on a deeper understanding of the problem before rushing into solutions, even if that sometimes means starting out with ‘just enough research’. You focus on the needs of the people using your products and services but can understand the complexity involved in balancing them with the client’s organisational goals or technical constraints.
- You do your best work collaborating within cross-functional teams
