Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
The role holder must be technically credible with the development community showing an understanding of how to test across a wide range of underlying technologies and architectures. They must also be able to provide business stakeholders with confidence regarding the testing of changes within their business processes

What will you be doing?
- Participate in requirement analysis, static testing and define test strategy or the project in hand
- Mentors his peers/team members on the test techniques and ideas inline with system under test
- Participate in test estimations for project and allocation of tasks, review of testing deliverables for non functional testing.
- Review and ownership of E2E functional testing of the various AUT.
- Facilitate re-use of test artefacts for the project or come up with relevant new artefacts to suit the need
- Coaches and drives on test process and AUT for the project
- Help Identify project risk and dependencies and act accordingly
- Analysis of manual tasks and identifying best way to automate them through discussion with BA/ Dev/ Test teams
- Conducting demos to the stakeholders for POC using concise and crisp combination of static presentations and dynamic demo executions
- Deliver test automation improvement initiatives within the project group.
- Identification of non functional testing (Automation/Performance) and efficiency opportunities and leading implementation of the same
- 50% into project co-ordination and 50% into hands on project delivery.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in functionally leading technical test teams of 5-12 Testers.
- Previous experience and exposure in automation management/testing and framework creation. (Selenium, cucumber) preferred
- Experience in managing testing of Web Based Applications.
- Experience in managing testing in agile projects.
- Experience in Portfolio and Performance management of Wealth Clients
- Knowledge of data mining using SQL server/Management Studio
- Knowledge of UK Equity/Fixed Income Trading and FIX Protocol would be an advantage
- Significant experience and knowledge in use and administration of Test Management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Graduate with technical background
- Experience in managing testing of Mobile Based Applications.
- ISTQB/CSTE certification will be added advantage.
- Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage

- Understanding of IT systems and functioning
- Keen knowledge on testing concepts, processes, types and methods of testing
- Excellent in Stakeholder Management, test management, Resource management, test planning, estimation, project monitoring tracking & control
- Ability to assess project risk
- Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing - Capable of technical deep-dives into test scenarios, automation framework, Roll-up the sleeves attitude, bringing innovative solutions to the table
- Must be able to work with mínimal or no supervision and have the ability to prioritize workloads quickly and efficiently.
- Experience in working on multiple projects in parallel
- Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote Barclays culture
