Theatre Teacher

Locations : Velachery & Manapakkam
- Teaching acting principles to students, often in a group setting
- Conducting individual readings to perform an assessment of a student’s talent
- Creating an adaptable lesson plan based on student levels and ability
- Emphasizing skills like enunciation, diction, and dialect development using speech drills, improvisation, explanation, and other voice exercises
- Explaining body language and expression, engaging students in character development and personality projection, and helping each student develop a personal style
- Selecting, editing, casting, and directing plays and other theater art forms for public performances
- Holding rehearsals and evaluating student performances to ensure show quality by opening night
- Working with non-performing students on other play production tasks, including set construction, scene changes, lighting, sound, and special effects
- Working with colleagues to schedule shows around other school projects
- Planning lessons, including written work and creative writing assignments, and grading those assignments based on the curricula

A drama teacher who gets the best performance from students and instills a love of live theater and other performance art is one who:

- Communicates clearly and effectively demonstrates the skills needed to emote as a character
- Uses real-world experience to explain concepts for the stage
- Understands curriculum design and aligns learning outcomes with skills development
- Is high-energy and able to tackle a number of physical tasks, from choreographing a stage sword fight to helping with scene changes and set pieces
- Knows technology and how to use it to create a mood or scene
- Is a skilled leader and able director, with the ability to provide constructive feedback about performance

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
