**Job Category**:Production**Job Type**:Full Time**Job Location**:Field Navi Mumbai**Responsibilities**: Optimizes laser performance including complex, hands-on, intricate alignments on laser cavities, laser crystals, free-space optical components and coupling laser beams to fibers.

Leads troubleshooting of laser problems:
Develops and documents troubleshooting procedures for operators and technicians to follow for common problems.

Performs troubleshooting and repair of new problems that are not covered by the procedures or are difficult or risky in nature.

Supports remotely after normal business hours including late-night operations. Serves as a backup for laser operators and technicians when required to support operations.

This may include night and weekend work at the Scantech Laser Pvt Ltd or client facility.

**Requisite Skills**:
Extensive hands-on experience working with lasers as a design engineer, manufacturer and/or field service engineer.

Experience with safely operating and maintaining high power lasers (up to 8kW) including IR lasers.

Trained in industry standard laser safety practices, and aware of and experienced with eye hazard precautions and high voltage hazards.

Experience with tuning lasers including extremely delicate alignments of laser cavities and crystals.

Experience with relaying laser beams using free-space components.

Experience with coupling laser beams to fiber optics.

Ability to measure laser performance and conduct beam quality analysis. Teamwork

**Job Knowledge**:
Experience and skill in troubleshooting laser system issues

The person must have a friendly personality to do the job.

The other skills required are the excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

He or she must be organized to do the job.

He or she should be able to work well under pressure and may be independently or as part of a team.

The person must have the ability to accurately record information. He or she should have the ability to handle many tasks at the same time.
