Production Supervisor

**Qualification: - BSC, B. Tech, Diploma in Paint /Polymer Technology**
**Experience: Manpower Handling & shade matching minimum 5 Years.**
**1)Planning Functions**:
- Ensure the efficient and timely production of goods.(within budget and quality standard).
- Plan, Implement, and control the production schedule for the goods.
- Release & coordinate production schedule as per plan with shopfloor heads or vendor.
- Material requirement planning.
- Shop floor capacity planning in terms of manpower, machine availability, sub-con capacity.
- Analyze and prepare documents needed for production for eg production schedule, resource allocation etc.
**2) Budgeting for OE**:
**Manage production budgets as per sanctioned budget by the directors.
- Estimate production costs - at the time of preparing the quotation for the new customer, the production head/in charge should give inputs to the costing department regarding the estimated cost of the production for eg labor cost involved for the production, machine hours rates required for the production, idle time, tentative wastages if any, etc.
- Manage manpower and material to meet production targets.
**3) Production & Maintenance**:
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement of equipment if required.
- Conflict management - grievances of blue-collared to be sorted out at his level and unsorted problems are to be escalated to the high authorities.
- Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from manufacturing, customer service and accounting.
- Maintain critical list of spares and create indents for purchase to ensure their replenishment.
- Stock monitoring at WIP.Once stock is received from stores to shop floor, it is responsibility of production incharge to monitor the same and justify in case of descrepancy.
- Ensure that WIP stock is reconciled on every month end with the help stores.
**4) Safety**:
** **To ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) by everyone present on shop floor.
** **To monitor sources of risk such as electrical(static current, sparks, short circuits, exposed wires, non-flame proof fittings, insufficient earthing), chemical(flash point, excess heat, open/leaking drums), physical environment(slippery floor, sharp edges, falling objects, chemical splatter and fumes) and others. Record in risk analysis and continuously suggest ideas to mitigate these risks.
**5) Quality & Technical Service**:
** **Testing the product which is ready for dispatch and generating the test report.
- To monitor quality of all goods inwards, set standards, conduct testing as per the specified respective processes, generate, record and maintain reports of rejection, analysis and make trend of the same for analysis
- To monitor QMS during as well as after completion of the process.
- Conduct third party inspection, client inspection in co-ordination with quality & production department.
- Customer complaints handling & coordination with QC to resolve the same.
- Corrective preventive action, if any feedback/complaint received from customer / quality department.
**6) Inter department Co-ordination**:
- Be a single point of contact for Directors, related to shop floor.Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, sales, quality etc.
- Co-ordination with stores for material issue from stores to shop floor.
- Co-ordination with design team / external consultant for design / drawing related queries.
- Co-ordinate with sales for on-time delivery.
**7) Systems, Procedures, MIS & Audits**:
Work out and implement standard operating procedures for operations. 1)Develop policies & protocol with respect to: a)Follow and monitor all compliances with respect to Safety, 5Sand other certifications. b)Establish control and review production department from controlling point of view. c)Actively involve in developing KPI's for subordinates on timely basis. d)Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to. e)Ensure implementation and adherence to safety procedures. f)Monitor quality standards of products. g)Prepare and maintain production reports.
1)Ensuring E.R.P is used for entire production function effectively. 2)Generation of various value added reports. 3)Testing of module by the team from time to time. 4)Giving suggestion for converting manual processes to E.R.P based processes. 5)Accuracy of data in system with respect to various masters etc. Submission of MIS should be done on timely basis.
**8) **Training & development**:
1)Conduct in house training for developing subordinates about:
a)Policies and procedures.
b)Protocols.
c)M.I.S.
d)Skill development
e) 5'S & safety
