**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
Job Context: Hindalco Almex Aerospace Limited is first Industry in India to produce super large diameter aerospace Aluminium Alloy Billets / Slabs. These will be used for aerospace industries in the country and abroad. It is a Joint Venture company and Joint Venture is with Almex, USA.

HAAL Almex Aerospace Limited HAAL Almex has current Aluminium billet/ Slab capacity of 12000 MTPA in the first phase of commissioning. The capacity shall eventually increase to 46000 MTPA by fourth phase.

The demand of semi Aluminium Alloy Billets have increased tremendously assuming the growth air travel by passengers. The job requires high skill in effective equipment operation without any interruption. It is state of the art technology for developing various Aluminium Alloys products & process, to meet the national and International market challenges in Aerospace industries.

Performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the environmental, health and safety programs.

Job Challenges:* To Implement and monitor Fire, Safety systems at HAAL. The job demands high level of understanding and awareness of safety requirements of Propane Plant as well as handling molten metal and Solid heavy Billets.
- The major challenge of this position is to train all the new employees on Fire & Safety, Health and to mould into the organization culture through continuous training.
- Monitoring the hazardous operations and accidents through recording of near miss, safety audit, safety observations etc.
- Performs or assists with accident investigations as needed. Ensures that processes take necessary corrective action to prevent future incidents. Communicates recommendations to all concerned parties promptly.
- To Coordinates and conducts work area assessment, surveys, and program evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous conditions and recommends engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment.
- To comply with all Legal requirements related to Fire ,Safety and systems as per factory act.

- Implementation and execution of all safety systems.

Ensure safe working practices in the plant.

To distribute all PPEs in time and record the same.

To prepare documents related to legal compliance related to safety and fire.

Monitoring all the near miss, record it and by investigating take corrective action on that to avoid same incident in future.

Issuing of work permit before exact work start to avoid misshapen in premises.

Preparation of E.H.S. performance report on monthly basis.

Providing a safe and healthy work environment.

To prepare GRAs for all the operations including Crane, Fork Lift, DG, Propane Yard etc.

To implement all requirements of OHSAS 18001 2007.

Ensure proper and safe unloading of Propane Gas.

Monitor the Propane line Leakage checking status and take corrective action on that immediately.

Ensure no smoking in premises.

Ensure entry is restricted to unauthorized person in hazardous area.

Ensure the proper usage of all P.P.E.S which are provided.

To prepare and document all inspection check sheets, all safety checklist for operations.

To implement and document all the processes, operations and services.

- Ensure training of all employees and contract labours to implement company wide activities e.g. Safety Awareness, Fire Awareness, Mock Drill, Emergency Preparedness, Awareness of AS9100, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and quality policy.

Ensure on-the-job training on safety and fire for staff and workmen related to emergency.

Communication of vision, mission and policies of the company.

B.E./B.Tech (Dist Education)
