**Skills/Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of data migration methodologies, strategies and best practices.
- Experience with large-scale, complex data migration projects.
- Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of non-relational databases and data structures (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and CDC (Change Data Capture).
- Familiarity with cloud-native data migration tools (e.g., AWS Database Migration Service, Azure Data Factory).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl or PowerShell for automation.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Oracle or Google Cloud.
- Experience with migrating data to or between cloud environments.
- Expertise in data profiling, cleansing and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in using testing tools to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

**Qualification**:

- B.Tech/ B.E./ MCA or higher in a related field.
- Any leading IT software certification in database.
- At least 8 years of experience in large IT/ITeS projects in the role of data migration lead (projects in Government Sector/Private Sector/Public Sector).
- Experience in similar IFMS/IFMIS project in the role of data migration lead.
- Should have prior experience in writing data migration scripts, preparing data mapping sheets, data migration, generating data migration report and exception report
- Fluency in English and Hindi (Speaking, reading & writing).

**Responsibilities**:
Project Planning & Strategy:

- Develop detailed data migration plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and migration requirements.
- Create and maintain a risk management plan to identify, mitigate and resolve potential risks during the migration process.

Data Mapping & Transformation:

- Define transformation rules, business logic and data cleansing processes.
- Ensure that data is correctly formatted and aligned with business requirements in the target system.

Data Quality & Integrity:

- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data during and after migration.
- Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to verify data integrity post-migration.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

- Lead and coordinate a team of data migration specialists, developers and testers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all migration-related issues and escalations.

Testing & Validation:

- Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure thorough testing of all migration activities to confirm the successful migration of data.
- Review and validate data post-migration to ensure it meets quality standards and business expectations.

Tool Selection & Configuration:

- Identify and evaluate data migration tools and technologies that best suit the needs of the project.
- Configure and customize tools for efficient migration processes.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new tools to enhance migration performance.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Document the entire migration process, including data mapping, transformation rules and any issues encountered.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders on migration status, timelines, and potential risks.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for audit purposes and future reference.

Post-Migration Support:

- Provide post-migration support, including resolving any data-related issues, troubleshooting and ensuring smooth system functionality.
- Perform data validation after migration to ensure data is functioning as expected in the new system.

Compliance & Security:

- Ensure that all data migration activities comply with security and privacy regulations.
- Maintain data confidentiality and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data during migration.
