**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Procurement Planning and Forecasting**:
- Collaborate with the **Production Manager** to understand and forecast **raw material requirements** based on production schedules.
- Maintain a **material planning calendar** to ensure uninterrupted production.
- **Vendor Management and Sourcing**:
- Identify, evaluate, and select **reliable suppliers** for raw materials and other factory needs.
- Obtain **competitive quotes**, analyze price variations, and negotiate **favorable terms** with vendors.
- Develop and maintain **vendor relationships** to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance.
- **Order Management and Logistics**:
- Prepare **purchase orders** and coordinate deliveries to align with production schedules.
- Track incoming shipments and **resolve delivery discrepancies** or issues.
- Ensure **proper documentation** for orders and inventory records.
- **Quality Control**:
- Inspect **incoming materials** for quality and compliance with **specifications**.
- Work with the **quality assurance team** to implement **standards** and address defects or rejections.
- **Cost Optimization**:
- Analyze costs and develop strategies to **reduce procurement expenses**.
- Monitor **market trends** to anticipate **price fluctuations** in raw materials.
- **Payment Processing and Documentation**:
- Process **vendor invoices**, verify bills, and ensure timely **payments**.
- Maintain accurate **records of transactions**, orders, and inventory reports.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Assist in **inventory management** and **warehouse coordination** as needed.
- Perform **general administrative tasks** related to procurement and operations.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in **Supply Chain Management**, **Procurement**, **Business Administration**, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum **3-5 years** of experience in **procurement** or **purchasing roles**, preferably in the **manufacturing** or **construction industry**.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Familiarity with **raw materials** like **steel coils, bolts, nuts, washers**, and other industrial components.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Proven ability to **negotiate prices** and terms effectively.
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyze **quotes and vendor performance** to ensure cost-effective purchases.
- **Communication**: Excellent **verbal and written communication skills** for vendor management.
- **Organization Skills**: Strong ability to **plan, prioritize, and multitask** under tight deadlines.
**Preferred Qualities**:
- Experience working in a **factory or production environment**.
- Knowledge of **quality control processes** and **material inspection standards**.
- Familiarity with **import/export processes** and **customs documentation** (preferred but not mandatory).
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to **troubleshooting supply issues**.
