The Role

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.

You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges - in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Installation and configuration of data protection server software and associated components, TSM and spectrum Storage and EMC DD.

Establishing replication between locations

Develop and implement automated solutions to support operational and SLA objectives.

Respond quickly and effectively to Storage issues and outages

Strong documentation skills along with the ability to train junior level personnel on day to day Storage tasks

Provide recommendations to improve design and reduce cost

Creation of reports for both clients and management

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for storage support

Provide technical leadership to more junior team members

Has experience working in a large storage environment with formal change management practices

Experience with Spectrum Protect, Spectrum Protect Plus preferred

Experience with Brocade and Cisco zoning required

Must be detail-oriented with good organization skills

Excellent troubleshooting skills

To provide 24x7 onsite Support.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, Need to participate in client meetings.

Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.

Working on Service Desk tickets.

Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.

Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.

Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.

Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings

Experience in Storage configurations.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Must have experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Strong process improvement experience

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- 10-15 years of overall experience in IT Storage Domain with proven experience in Storage Operations.
- Client Meetings, External Audit
- Experience in Spectrum protect,
- Experience in EMC DD
- Experience in TSM
- In depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience with AWS and Azure is a bonus
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities
- Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and mode
