**Brief Job Description**:
**Key Result Areas**:
Install, configure, and maintain Postgres databases

Configure and handle multi-replication

Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures

Monitor database performance and tune database parameters for optimal performance Manage database security and access control

Plan and implement database upgrades and migrations

Design and implement database structures, tables, and indexes

Troubleshoot database issues and provide resolutions

Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and ensure scalability

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in database administration

**Skills required**:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

At least 5+ years of experience in Postgres database administration

Proficient in SQL and experience with other database technologies such as MS SQL server. Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures

Experience with database security and access control

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills

**Educational /Professional Qualification**:
B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M. Tech/ BCA/ MCA/ Msc.IT with equivalent practical experience. **Work Experience**:
3 years in Postgres Database

**Competencies Required**:
Experience with cloud

Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools such as PostgreSQL Enterprise Manager

Knowledge of database replication and clustering
