**A finance HOD has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include**:

- Conducting research in their area of expertise and publishing peer reviewed articles in academic journals
- Participating in academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums to share research findings with peers and colleagues
- Developing curriculum, teaching courses, and providing academic counseling to students
- Preparing lectures and course materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, and reading lists
- Teaching undergraduate or graduate level classes in areas such as investments, financial markets, corporate finance, risk management, accounting, and taxation
- Conducting research focused on topics such as investment strategies, risk management, tax laws, or financial planning techniques
- Reviewing student papers for grammatical errors, plagiarism, and other mistakes before they are graded by professors
- Develop and revise course curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with program goals
- Foster a positive learning environment that engages students and promotes active participation
- Advise and mentor students on academic and professional matters
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support their growth and development
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as needed
- Engage in scholarly research and writing, and present findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
- Seek external funding for research projects through grant writing
- Collaborate with colleagues on research projects
- Stay abreast of developments in the field of finance through continued education and professional development activities
- Participate in service learning and community outreach initiatives

**Education**:
A finance HOD must have a PhD in Finance or a related field, such as economics or accounting.

Aggregate of minimum 60 percentage of marks in all qualifications level.

**Experience**:
Minimum 10 - 15 years of teaching experience. Post PhD with 5 years of teaching experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹302,077.00 - ₹1,519,457.25 per year

- Fixed shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bangalore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
