Job Responsibilities Summary: The L1 Accountant will support daily accounting functions including data entry, invoice processing, reconciliations, and compliance checks. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with basic accounting knowledge and a strong willingness to learn and grow in a structured finance team. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll - Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements - Manage revenue recognition for SaaS-based models, including MRR/ARR, deferred revenue, and contract-based billing cycles - Process vendor invoices, monitor organizational expenses, and ensure adherence to internal financial policies - Collaborate closely with the sales and customer success teams to track invoicing, payment collections, and renewals - Support timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and assist in financial reporting - Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and support in preparing documentation for statutory audits - Continuously improve internal financial controls, systems, and accounting procedures - Utilize accounting software and integrated tools (e.g., Zoho Books, Razorpay, etc.) to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance - 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping - Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Indian tax laws - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software - Good written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team Location: Mumbai **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
