**We're hiring PGT Physical Education Teacher for a Premium CBSE School in Shillong, Meghalaya.**

A PE Teacher, or Physical Education Teacher is responsible for teaching physical education and sports to school children. Their duties include planning and leading PE lessons, getting students to compete in sporting events and evaluating their performance.

**PE Teacher duties and responsibilities**

PE Teachers are responsible for advancing their students physical ability and knowledge of sports. They are responsible for the welfare of their students and for ensuring that students can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school. Their key duties and responsibilities include:

- Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
- Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren't exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
- Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
- Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
- Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
- Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide events
- Transporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting events
- Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE exams

**Requirement**:
Qualification: Masters (M.P.Ed)

Experience : Minimum 3 years in teaching classes 11-12.
